Clickbank Pirate Review – Part I

Clickbank Pirate (CP) is a relatively new money-making system that came out this past summer.  It’s been tremendously popular, and it’s easy to see why.   In this post I’ll tell you what it’s all about (without divulging any proprietary secrets) and give my opinions on the concept.  In a future post, probably a month away, I’ll do an update, concentrating more on actual results and give a final recommendation.

Joining and Costs

The cost of this program is $27 per month, but if they still offer it, your first month is only $4.95.  You can pay a little more up front and get more access packages at the start.  You don’t need your own website or autoresponder as these are provided.  You needn’t be skilled at copywriting, because all that’s done for you too.

Concept

You pay them each month for a membership.  With that membership, you get a new “access package” each month.  An access package is splash page for a specific top Clickbank product.  Your CP splash page gives away a related eBook free in order to get people into your CP autoresponder.  This list will get emails about the related Clickbank product, then will be continually be marketed to by CP on your behalf.

In addition, each access package is filled with banners, emails, articles, signatures, “Tweets,” even thank you and error page ads – all kinds of things you can use to promote your splash page for each access package.  The copywriting quality is good, but not outstanding.

The splash pages themselves are attractive and eye-catching.  Each has a version with a video in it and one without.  A simple ad tracking system lets you determine which ads your sign-ups saw.

Pros

  • Anyone can do this, even newbies.
  • Traffic Generation course comes with it as a bonus.
  • You can continue to make residual income long after your first autoresponder contact signs up.
  • They provide great webinars that carefully instruct you in every aspect of this business.
  • I’ve seen similar programs at higher prices.
  • Each member gets a different set of “access packages,” so we aren’t all promoting the same thing at the same time.

Cons

  • You can see how many people are in your autoresponder list, but you don’t own the addresses.  You can’t use them for your own purposes.  If you leave the membership, you lose them forever.
  • Even with the different access packages for each member, there are still an awful lot of people in CP, and there may be some market saturation.
  • You have no control over which access package you get each month, or how the Clickbank products are chosen to be worked in the first place.

Conclusion

After having been active in it now for about four weeks, I’ve learned to recognize the CP-designed splash pages, even to those access packages that have not been assigned to my account.  It does seem like very many people are participating, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Prospects are more likely to buy something after they’ve been exposed to it many times.  This can work to your benefit in that they’ve been exposed to it by other people already, so you aren’t the sole provider of all that necessary exposure.  The question remains, though, how much is too much?  Are there too many people selling Clickbank Pirate’s access packages?  (I CAN say I wish I owned one of the Clickbank products being pushed by a CP access package!)

My goal is to see if you can make money at Clickbank Pirates without spending much more than the membership fee each month.  With using only free advertising vehicles, so far I’ve got about 10 people on my autoresponder list, but no sales.  I’ll report back in another month or two to give more financial results.

In the meantime, please post a comment with your own feelings about Clickbank Pirates.

i used both Clickbank and adsense on my websites and i would have to say that i earn more on Clickbank than adsense. as long as you have good US and UK traffic, you would earn more on Clickbank.

I use Clickbank together with Infolinks on my Blog. You can earn a lot in Clickbank if you just concentrae more on US traffic |
